Anmay entered an already crowded Bangalore restaurant landscape, especially within the South Indian and Andhra cuisine space. The challenge wasn’t just visibility; it was differentiation.

While several established players already served Andhra food, Anmay needed to:

  • Build a distinct identity from day one
  • Create a strong emotional connect with its audience
  • Offer not just food, but a memorable cultural experience

It had to stand apart not by being louder, but by being more meaningful.

The approach was to build Anmay as an experience rooted in authenticity and warmth. Instead of limiting the brand to cuisine, we expanded it into a celebration of Andhra culture bringing together:

  • A sense of festivity and togetherness
  • A welcoming, community-led dining environment

Every touchpoint from identity to space was designed to feel immersive, familiar, and emotionally rich.

 

The Idea & Identity

The defining idea emerged as: Anmay – Andhra’s Festive Flavours 

We consciously moved away from the predictable “spice-led” narrative associated with Andhra cuisine. Instead, we positioned Anmay as a cultural retreat where every meal feels like a celebration. The idea came alive through multiple layers:

Immersive Experience
A sensory environment shaped by aromas, textures, and visual cues inspired by Andhra Pradesh, creating a space that feels both nostalgic and vibrant.

Cultural Resonance
The identity system draws from deep-rooted cultural elements:

  • Kolam-inspired forms reflecting tradition and ritual
  • Clay pot motif symbolising authenticity and home-style cooking
  • Two human figures representing connection and shared experiences
  • Telugu-influenced typography anchoring the brand in its origins
  • Paisley detail in the wordmark adding a subtle layer of heritage and festivity

Heartfelt Connection
At the core is Chef Suresh’s commitment to authentic Andhra recipes, ensuring that the food remains true to its roots, reinforcing credibility and emotional value.

Community Spirit
Anmay is designed as a space where people come together—not just to dine, but to celebrate, connect, and create memories.
